The year 2024 has been key due to the continuity in the transformation of the framework of the employment policy, with great activity and important advances, on the one hand, with the development of the Employment Law, the Law 3 / 2023 off 28 in February, for another, for the Reform of the welfare level of unemployment benefits.
The SEPE effort has been key to ensuring the protection of working people and the maintenance of employment in a climate emergency context through the expansion of mechanisms such as the ERTE and new unemployment benefits. In addition, the project was launched. DANA Employment Plan, which facilitated the recruitment of unemployed persons for the execution of recovery works in the affected municipalities, thus strengthening social cohesion and the economic reconstruction of the territory.
The activity of the SEPE is marked by important challenges, such as, among others, adapting to the changes in the labor market resulting from the digital, green and demographic transition, the transformation and continuous improvement of digital tools, the guarantee of a more personalized and effective care for people in situations of unemployment or the improvement of care for vulnerable groups.
