What is the SEPE
The General Council of public service state employment is a governing body and institutional involvement of the General administration of the state and the social partners.
Headquartered in Madrid in the building of central services of public service jobs state, street Condesa de Venadito, n.º 9 without prejudice to hold meetings elsewhere and locations.
Corresponds to the General Council:
a) Inform the participation of public service state employment in the annual work programme of the national system of employment.
b) Inform the PDB of revenue and expenditure of agency.
c) approve the annual report for submission to the Government.
d) propose mechanisms for coordination and cooperation of public service jobs state and public employment services of the autonomous communities in the framework of the national system of employment, especially concerning the coordination between active employment policies and unemployment benefits.
e) monitor reports, proposals and recommendations of the General council of National System of employment in relation to the public employment service State.
f) Propose research studies and analysis of the situation of the labour market, as well as measures for the modernization and improvement of public service jobs State.
g) Any other powers that are attributed by law or regulation.
