European centre for the development of vocational training (CEDEFOP)

Cedefop is the agency of the European Union of development of vocational training (FP) founded in 1975 and with current headquarters in Thessaloniki (Greece) gives the European Commission, member states and social partners, detailed information on developments and trends of the FP and offers, likewise, data and technical advice on how European policies of vocational training can meet the challenges facing society.

Cedefop currently focuses its activities in three areas: support for modernising FP systems; careers and professional transitions, learning throughout life: FP continuous, adult learning and learning on the job; as well as the analysis of professional qualifications: forecasts and mismatch between the supply and demand of competences.
